I am Noel and I constantly have itchy feet (no its not a medical condition), as a spotty teenager the likes of David Attenborough and then later Ray Mears always gave me the inspiration to want to travel and see this world.

I spent an amzing year of my life in South Africa in 2003 when I volunteered and worked in a few national parks, the Kruger and the Kgalagadi Transfrontier.  Ever since then I have wanted to see more of Africa and after a brief stay in Kenya which was amazing, I wanted more, so for the last few years I had been talking about getting a 4×4 and driving through Africa.  In July 2009 I found the right vehicle to do it in (Maggie) and will set off for an amazing adventure of a lifetime.  Hopefully I will make the trip from London to South Africa, and if not I am going to have a great time trying!!

If I succeed I hope this will be a platform for me to travel South America at some point in my life.

I don’t know anything about Vehicle maintenance, I don’t speak French but I love to meet people and so let the adventure begin!
